Our New Facility is Taking Shape

We’re proud to share the progress of our new Simcoe and District Humane Society building — a space designed to better serve animals and our community for years to come. This new facility represents a significant step forward for our organization. As the needs of animals in our region continue to grow, so does the demand for accessible, high-quality care. Our current space has served us well, but it no longer allows us to meet that demand to the fullest extent.

With this new building, we will be able to expand our capacity, improve medical and rehabilitation services, and create a safer, more comfortable environment for every animal that comes through our doors. From intake to recovery to adoption, every part of the process will be designed with the well-being of animals in mind. The new space will also allow us to better support our community — providing improved adoption experiences, more education opportunities, and a stronger connection between people and the animals who need them most.

This project is about more than just growth — it’s about impact. It’s about ensuring that no animal is turned away due to lack of space, and that every animal receives the care, attention, and compassion they deserve. As construction continues, we are excited to share updates along the way and bring our community into this journey with us. Every milestone reached is a reflection of the support we’ve received and the shared belief in what this new facility will make possible.
